Letitia Woods Brown Memorial Book, Anthology, and Article Award
Association of Black Women Historians (ABWH) is pleased to announce the 2017 Letitia Woods Brown prizes for the best book, anthology, and article in African American women’s history. The Letitia Woods Brown Memorial Book Prizes and the Letitia Woods Brown Memorial Article Prize are awarded annually by ABWH. The competition is open to all books, anthologies, and articles concerning African American women’s history published between June 2016 and May 30, 2017 including those written by members and non-members of ABWH.
Deadline for nomination: All application materials should be received by July 15, 2017.
Publishers should contact Dr. Sharon Harley, Chair, ABWH Book Prize Committee email@example.com for addresses of the committee members to send copies of nominated books and anthologies.
Winners will be notified no later than August 15, 2017 and honored on September 30, 2017 at the annual ABWH luncheon during the 102nd Annual Meeting of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) in Cincinnati, Ohio.
